I am pleased to learn that the Democratic party is on its way towards improvement. They say admitting you have a problem is the first step towards breaking an addiction, and Rep. Patrick Kennedy did just that yesterday. When asked about his drug addiction and long-time battle with depression, he said "I know I have a problem." Well, I can't help you with the drug addiction, but the depression I think I know the source of. I believe the DSM-IV states that a definite cause of depression is an inability to win elections. And being a member of the democratic party means you would be quite vulnerable to a losing atmosphere. As for the addiction to prescription pain killers, I think I have a quick fix to that as well. A switch to a party with morals, conviction, and respect would lessen all the pain and that way you might actually not hate yourself when you go to bed every night.
