It seems like everywhere I turn someone is getting killed or raped because of online predators. Honestly? I think these "victims" have a huge part in wht happens to them. They post half naked pictures of themselves online and then they bitch when people try to talk to them. It's like they are screaming for attention but when they get it they cry foul. I'm sick of MySpace getting a bad rap. I have a MySpace nad I have never had a problem. Sure, every now and then I will get some guy who adds me but if I don't know them I doon't add them back. It's as simple as clicking no. Do any of these girls get that? i know that this topic has been run into the ground but it makes me madder and madder everytime i think about it. They also put very personal information on their profile which is absolutely retarded. I guess no one ever thought to teach these girls how to properly be online with out getting some weirdo cyber stalker. If they wouldn't put ppictures of themselves wearing practically nothing then maybe just maybe there wouldn't be an issue. Oh, and these girls that go and meet the guy! What is running through their head? Hey, let me go and meet this nice man who told me I was pretty online, I know that he doesn't want me to have sex with him. Well, guess what! He does. So don't go and meet him. It's really that easy. I'm going to stop ranting on this subject, it's making me hate stupid people even more.

I'm 17 and usually I'm understandable and level headed but I was mad and very tired yesterday. I had read some other article about some other girl going to meet some other man she had met on MySpace, and I was upset and dissapointed in the girl so I couldn't think straight or get my opinion out without sounding immature.
I understand. I was tired too and didn't want to come across as lecturing. Thats why the question. I'm sure you're quite capable of being level-headed and a critical thinker.
