All right, you have three choices: an ex-first lady; a sorta-black, sorta-Muslim man; or an upper-class white male.
What are the distinctions between the Democratic Presidential candidates?
Race, gender, background, and personality.
Stances on important issues such as terrorism, the budget, and Social Security don't for msuch this election, as all the Democratic candidates have virtually the same position. Begin the Personality Games!
On healthcare: universal government health isurance and socialized providers. Even ignoring the affront to American tradition, this universal idea is ludicrous. The budget simply could not support such an enormous undertaking. Also, take a look at countries such as Canada, Great Britain, and France: immediate care is nearly impossible, patients have zero say in their treatment, and their budgets are sagging to the breaking point.
On the budget: raise taxes! This age-long Democratic solution to the complex budget issue is out of touch with reality. Raising taxes slows economic activity, which hurts the governments bottom line.
On terrorism: surrender, make friends, and sit down to talk with the leaders of North Korea and Iran (okay, this last one is only Obama's idea). What are the obvious problems with this solution? Terrorists want to kill us, and no amount of surrender and diplomacy will change that- it's part of their religion, it is orderedin the Quran.
Obviously each of the candidate's plans has minor differences, but they are essentially the same. Why? Because each candidate is seeking to appeal to the ant-war left wing base, as well as supposed neutrals. None of them will take a stand on any issue, because it might hurt their chances to get into office. Instead, they try to outdo each other with smiles and the sympathy factor.
So, which personality will you vote for?

I want either Kucinich, Paul or Gravel. I don't like any of the big candidates.
