Its Now The Conservitive Party... Republicans No Longer Exsist

Tagged:  •    •

I am going to be making a speech tomorrow about how the Republican party has basically lost its balls to the conservative ideology and how there really isn't such a thing as republicans in the republican party, they are mainly all conservatives with a few republicans here and there (yes i know you can be a conservative republican... but these are conservative democrats thinking they are republican)

The Republican goal is to shrink government at its heart... and at its heart democrats are supposed to make it larger... well it seems that all the republicans we get are too focused on pleasing conservatives that we lost the fact that we need to shrink government. Look at our tax rate compared to anywhere else in the world.. we are one of the highest and we are not even a socialist country..

We need our republicans to SHRINK government and stand up for more states rights... Or I guess I need MY republicans, since here on this site I am kinda a lone wolf. However, this ties in great with the progressive movement.

The best way you guys will get change, is to solve it state by state... You guys have California... then expand it out to Nevada, who can extend out to Utah and eventually all of your little pink-o commie ideas will be adopted by the country. The best part about it all: The Republican party dropped states rights as their platform so its free for the taking.

I think you have it backwards: there are no more real conservatives in the Republican party. Real conservatives want to shrink government, and return rights to the states and the people. The problem is, many in the Republican party are neoconservatives, who differ from other conservatives in one area: they believe that it is America's job to police the world (hence the War in Iraq). Real conservatives know that the government should not interfere in our economy or society, and that extends to not interfering in the world's affairs.

I wrote a blog about paleoconservatism a few days ago, which addresses some of the points you made in your blog: Frustrations of the Paleoconservative. Paleoconservatives are the opposite of neoconservatives; they believe in small government and not meddling in the world's problems. Unfortunately, there seems to be very few of them left in the Republican Party.
