The FDA finally ok'd a vaccine for cervical cancer. CC, which is transmitted sexually and usually known as HPV, is transmitted to millions and millions of women each year. Out of those women, around 10,000 of them get cervical cancer yearly. The vaccine will not work for all types of HPV, for there are over 70 different strands known to man. This vaccine will cover 4 important strands. The four that the vaccine will cover takes care of about 70% of the strands that casue cancer. Annually , cervical cancer kills about 4,000 women.
