My views on Immigration Reform:
First of all, I think a plan to revamp immigration and legalization is absolutely necessary. I also believe that many illegal immigrants that are in the U.S. are really just average people that aspire to attain the American dream. I do not believe they are the drug dealing non-tax-payers, as usually portrayed. I think the only way to solve the problem of illegal immigration is to first secure U.S. borders then legalize the illegal immigrants that are already living in the U.S. The illegal immigrants that are already here are a vital part of the U.S. economy and many if not all have earned residency and citizenship by contributing to the work force.

My favorite argument against illegal immigrants:
"They're a bunch of lazy freeloaders who are stealing all our jobs!"

No we need to kick all the illegals back to there side of the fence. They should not get immunity because they decided to cheat the government. I have no problem with them, except that they aren't here with a legal right.
Ship em back, then let them be like everyone else and become a citizen.

I agree! If they want to be treated equal and have the same rights as us, do it legaly! They complain that they're beeing discriminated against, maybe they should just go back if they dont like it!
I have nothing against illegal immigrants, i know some, and theyre great people!
But don't come to the U.S. and fight for somthing you have no right to fight for! If you really want to be free in the land of the free, do it right. Get the papers,wait a few years, and come over and do whatever you want! No one is going to hassel you then!
You have to be fair as possible to everyone.... Punishing all immigrants because of the action of one extremest religion/culture is just so wrong. I have never heard of a Christian Terrorist in this day and age have you? The answer to Homeland security is muslim terrorist exportation not importation. Our American children should be here living the American dream or freedom, not dying for those (physically able to fight) muslim cowards who are here working & taking our jobs instead of fighting for their own freedom in their own country, let them earn their freedom themselves as we did and build their own free society as we did, they are not worth dying or getting mutilated for. They have had 2000 years to get their minds right and can't do it because of their dumbass religion won't allow it, if they want to stay they must change that attitude and belief to survive here but rather than change they bring that antiquated mentality over here? They are using us and taking advantage of our good nature and what we have built... what our forefathers died for not theirs they have not earned what we have but just only bought it. I agree we need stability there and I feel sorry for their situation but we are not bought and paid for mercenaries but rather ambassadors of freedom, we can't stay there forever and we cannot change a 2000 year old stupidity in just a few years and by sacrificing our childrens lives and futures or the future of America.(Can't mix politics & Religion) If they can't hold their own in a reasonable timespan they never will or don't want to! their 2000 year fascist/Christian hating third world mentality and history proves that! Look at what they are doing to the English and French etc. society. what more proof do you need. Does that mean we must sacrifice our best and bravest there untill they can hold their own for another 10-200 years? As for allowing only the highly educated immigrants into our country, that propaganda is a load of "CRAP" and discriminatory as well, its just the greedy buisnessmans excuse to flood the market with cheap middle class labor for fear of lost profit because they know educated and even under educated Americans expect and deserve to get paid more, so train and hire our own....lose a little profit, money isn't everything to the loyal or righteous we can survive a drop in our standard of living but not a drop in the loyalty standard of our society, the last culture that tried to exercise justice by exclusion from their society of what they considered, the inferior humanity were the "NAZIS" we don't need that mentality again ...lets be fair to all and not treat anyone as special because of their education or financial status or where they are from. Treat everyone equal and fairly especially our neighbors and each other and them too within reason. The world and God (for those who believe) knows we are not perfect we all make mistakes foreigners as well as Americans Most of the bloodiest leaders / dictators and terrorists in the history of the world are well educated. I would rather have a loyal and honest under educated HANK HILL American as my neighbor and friend than a greedy, pompous, disloyal American hating "I'm better than you mentality and want to run and own your country and life " muslim or fascist or both, foreigner. Keep America Free and Christian or at least keep the freedom to decide. I don't know of any Christians that have chopped off any heads recently do you? Just because you are an American Citizen or became one after 3 to 5 years does not mean you are a loyal one or even a good person thats been made very clear recently. We all make mistakes to some degree and we can't always agree but I can trust most of us more than them because our loyalty has to be to each other we have nothing else. I am loyal if not perfect ...We cannot let fear and greed run our lifes or culture...When was the last time a Muslim invited you over to dinner as a friend or thanked you or any American veteran's parent/family who has lost a loved one, or what have they done to show their gratitude to our society for what we or rather our wounded veterans have sacrificed over there for their culture? They haven't thanked me or my son yet. Have they thanked you or showed you any gratitude? I haven't even heard of it yet anywhere here in the U.S. I have heard them complain... What does that tell you? I am loyal and will support whatever dicision is made by our leaders but I don't have to agree with it every time but I do have too live with it and so will all of you.

Granted, they're not as common (or as well-funded) as the various high-profile islamist groups, but there most certainly ARE quite a selection of violent christian individuals and groups that promote a terrorist agenda as part in parcel with their religious doctrines.

Their contribution is pretty paltry. They make up about 4% of our population and because they are working in the very bottom end jobs they probably don't account for more than 2% to 3% of our economy. Our economy grows at about 3% per year so if they were all to leave tomorrow, our economy would not even notice they were missing after about 12 months.
Many studies have shown that only two groups benefit from illegal immigration: the illegal immigrants themselves and the people who hire them at wages below what they would have to pay an American. On the otherhand, the poor suffer as a result of illegal immigration with lower wages, less opportunity and most unforegivably, wrecked schools for their children. And the middleclass, in return for largely illusory saving on cheap lettuce, gets taxed to pick up the tab for educating the children of illegals, providing them with free healthcare and dealing with the cost of paying welfare to our own displaced native born workforce who would otherwise be earning much higher wages and not needing taxpayer handouts.
Essentially illegal immigration is a giant wealth transfer mechanism that takes from the poor and the middleclass and makes the rich richer.
Frankly I have no interest in immigration reform because in almost every flavor that has been proposed so far it is all about importing vast numbers of unskilled people into America that will compete with the poor and which the middleclass will be forced to subsidize and which will make the rich richer.
I have no problem with immigration but we should be cherry picking the world (all races, creeds and ethnicities) for the best and the brightest who will create jobs and contribute to the Treasury. I have no interest in importing third world poverty (low skilled immigrants) that will drag down the standard of living for our own poor and require subsidies from the middleclass just so that the rich can have a servant class.
