I LOVE Modest Mouse! I LOVE Radiohead. I had to write a blog about them just because they are a huge part of my every day life!
I consider each band a band composed of artists; actual artists of music. I mean how can Radiohead create such complex music sequences. They are painting with their songs. They are artists, it’s that simple. The sounds are so original. When you take apart their songs you see that it’s just a bunch of noises that have ARTISCALLY been put together to create the grand masterpiece! I have recently purchased tickets to FINALLY see them in concert! I am so excited!! I have heard it is an experience to remember for the rest of your life. I can just picture my children asking me “hey mom did you ever go to a radiohead concert?” and I’m going to be like “hell yah!!!”
Modest Mouse, my favorite band ever!! They speak so much truth and I LOVE it! I would consider myself a Christian Existentialist (yah I know people say you can’t do that…but I do) and Modest Mouse sings about some things that just relate to existentialism. They are singing the truth in such a way that just makes me literally become obsessed with them! Sometimes I crave Modest Mouse, and I feel smarter when I listen to them. Yah I know that sounds dumb in itself!

I love modest mouse. Radiohead is great, but MM is the best. Made me not feel bad about not believing in religion when I was at a low.

I'd have to say seeing them in concert was the most exciting thing ever, except of course for the waiting in line. My friend and I stood in line for 5+ hours next to two girls who had seen the band, I kid you not, 17 times live. These girls were extremely shallow as they were huge fans of U2 for ten years straight before someone told them that some of the songs were about religion, then they stopped listening to them forever.... how shallow...
But yeah, both are amazing, the first time I heard MM I was told I was listening to Slipknot and was utterly confused for about a year... So yeah, I like to ramble.
