So I'm huge into the "green" living. I am hopeful and optimistic about the world's efforts to make the world a better place to live. Although we are the ones who turned our planet into a living hell... Even more the reason to dig ourselves back out before it gets too late. If you are doing your part, even if you feel it's a little one; you rock! Riding bikes instead of driving, recycling what you don't need anymore rather than just throwing it away, picking up trash when you are out on a walk... Every little thing helps! Even turning off your lights when you enter a room. Simple? Try it for an hour... On March 29.... From 8-9 p.m....
Last year in Sydney, Australia the whole city went dark for just one hour. JUST ONE HOUR! It was to help deliver a message that we need to take control. We need to take back our earth! Why do I care so much about this? Because we all helped create global warming and we are killing everything because of it.
For those of you who don't know exactly what global warming is... Let's break it down. Global warming is the result we have because of all the carbon dioxide emissions and 'greenhouse' gases caused by me and you. Because we drove instead of walked, and we chopped down all forests so we can print the stupid e-mails we get at work, because we choose to take plane rides to New York so we can watch the huge buildings their release carbon dioxide from their roof tops. (That was a bit far, that last one.) Point blank... We did it.
The air is so bad in Beijing, home of the 2008 Olympic games, that athletes are afraid to compete. Beijing is home to one of the world's fastest growing economies. There are said to be almost 1,000 new cars on the road each day. A reporter for U.S.A. Today said that it looks like it's raining there, the skies are so gray, but no moisture hits the ground. Some say it's worse than L.A. which is pretty bad. Other options? Postponing or moving the endurance events elsewhere.
Sad. It's so important. And, here I am preaching the facts, but I'm sitting here on my iMac computer in the middle of the day wasting energy. It's very important. Check out yahoo news to read about the Olympics for yourselves for more information.
Earth Hour. March 29. 2008. Turn off you lights and your t.v.'s... Everything for one hour. Be strong, you can do it. Light candles, invite some friends, watch the stars; embrace the world we live in. It might not be here for much longer at the rate we are killing it.

Yep, how do we expect industry to pave a sustainable street if we fail to provide mantra at the individual level. Well said.
