Why I Write (Words to get beyond words)/
Why I Think (Concepts to get beyond concepts)

"I am in quest of a vital intensity indistinguishable from intoxication. I want more energy than I need; I want to overflow. Therefore, I have a limited use for words; and do not restrict myself to them. Words subordinate more often than they invigorate. I experience them as beneath me, and I make no effort to live down to them. When they cease to intensify me, I jettison them. By this rejection, I attempt a transformation from a slave to a free spirit, from something useful to something noble, from something definable to something incomprehensible."
I write for health; a health indistinguishably spiritual, mental, and bodily; a health "At the extremes of [which], I go beyond what I have been, ecstatic. I want more energy than I need. I want to feel it; be it. I want explosive strength, the energy to overcome constraints. I want to be dangerously healthy, more healthy than is permitted, more healthy than is prudent."

"Purple, crimson, dark violent thought, a thousand hearses could not carry [me] away."

I stole the words above; they were another's, but now they are mine. I surround myself with them, drown myself in them- and live in them.
When I emerge from them...
