If a woman goes to a police officer and tells him that she was raped by her husband, the police officer would probably laugh. Shouldn't husbands get arrested for raping his wife, like boyfriends raping their girlfriends or a strangers raping an innocent girl? Just because they're married, does it mean the man can do whatever he wants with his wife's body?
What if the wife rapes the husband? Is that even possible? I was doing some research on this topic. To my surprised, I couldn't find any solid opinion on this. There is this website (http://7times.org/newsletter/marriagerape.shtml) that talks about the issue of husband raping his wife. However, the author quoted a lot of his source from the bible...or something that has to do with the bible. He goes in depth into what marriage is about in the eyes of God. I didn't read it. Too many talks about God. But anyway, at the bottom, the author concluded is it possible for a man to rape his wife and it is unlawful.
I am glad though that women have more rights to file claims against abusive husbands. However, I know there are some people who are still afraid. It's a sexual harassment and illegal. I mean, you hear about a stranger or a teach raping innocent kids all the time. I hardly heard of boyfriend raping his girlfriend or a husband raping his wife. Is it expected for a couple to have happy-go-lucky sex or something? Or the reason for not many legal cases regarding this issue is because it's hard to prove the other person guilty because the victim and the attacker are lovers?

Yes, its possible that a wife could rape her husband because one time, I saw a documentary on TV that shows some wives hurting their husbands.
This entire subject brings up the question: What exactly is rape?
