I don't know if anyone reading this lives in Port Orange or has ever had to deal with their police, but it's crazy how much they can get away with. The police in Port Orange are rude, arrogant, and eager to arrest. It's gotten to the point where I've seen icons on friends' myspaces that say "Welcome to Port Orange, you're under arrest." Honestly, I'm not exagerating. If you're young, drive a sporty car or look "suspicious" you'll get pulled over in this small city in Florida, and half the time they have no reason to even suspect you of anything. It drives me crazy to think that these pigs are the people protecting the citizens of that community. If people actually took the time to complain to the mayor or another elected official I'm sure at least half of the officers in that precinct would be violating people's rights. I don't know why they're like that or what makes them think they can treat people the way they do, but something needs to be done about them.
