College Crisis

College is just around the corner for me and I'm sure tuition costs are on every one's mind.

Right now, we are so used to the high cost of college and the average for a good school is about $40,000. That seems normal for us, but when our parents went to school it was only a couple thousand or a couple hundred. Isn't that crazy!

It all started with the Texas University, they didn't have such a good program and wanted to improve their standards. So they went to all the Ivy League colleges telling professors that they could get paid 2 million dollars for teaching at the University of Texas. Well since Texas was snatching up the good professors, all the other colleges competed with salaries to try to keep the professors they had.

So that's one reason why tuition is so high.

I wonder what its going to be like for the next generation? It is either going to be some ridiculous number, or somethings going to happen and costs will go down.

i never new that fact, very interesting. And yes tuition and extremly ridiculous, they encourage us to get a higher education but how can we with tuition so high! we don't want to be stuck in debt our whole lives paying back our college tuition. The world doesn't give enough money to ask the prices they do, its no wonder so many people are on welfare or poor and how many people drop out of high school, there are so many things frightening kids away, yes sometimes its pure laziness, but so many more people i think would go to college if it weren't for the cost.

In my state if you maintain a 2.5 GPA and score a 21 on the ACT you don't have to pay for the first for years of collage it's called the TOPS. The catch is that the collage has to be in the state so you don't have the option of going out of state.

I think with the way we are depending and using technology everything will be online.
You will have to pay a smaller fee by than.
