Stonehenge

I'm sure that everyone has heard of Stonehenge at one time or another in their life.
I mean, who hasn't? But, how was it built, and why? I've always wondered how people were
able to move 25 tons of stone without any modern technology. I saw this video, and it really
puts forth an explanation as to how they did it.

No one knows for sure who built Stonehenge, but a really plausible explanation for how it
was built has been put forward. I thought what that guy did was really cool. I never would
have thought of anything like that.

Well I wasn't able to watch the video, but I also think it is amazing how people were able to do that. I actually lived in England last year during my junior year of high school, and it is cool to see it in person. But I think the major part of the awe and wonder of Stonehenge is that it IS a mystery, I mean if we knew matter-of-factly how everything from the past was built or why it was built, etc..., I don't think we would appreciate them as much. But you are right, it is AMAZING! We take so much for granted these days because of all the technology, which makes the past even more awe inspiring. But if you ever get a chance to go to England...I highly suggest it.

I believe stone henge is a marker for the beginning of a plan for civalization, for togetherness and strength. The people who built stone henge, in my mind, probably some sort of help.I don't see normal everyday people lifting all of that weight and strategically placing every stone in its spot. I bet 3,000 people could not do all of that. I don't know much about it and I don't know if I will ever get a chance to personally look at it, but I have talked to a teacher who has been there and she also said that it was a pretty amazing thing to see. Also, she went during a certain time where there was a group people called the druids who walked around and did some sort of ritual thing, she said that was also a site to see.
