No surprise to the Supreme Court's decision to allow military recruiter presence on college campuses. It is a unamious decision 8-0 supporting the military recruitment.

Every college in the United States receives somewhat federal fundings. So of course, military recruiters are allowed to recruit anyone from any college campus they want. What do you guys think? Should the military recruiters be given a fair chance to invite people be part of the military? For many college campuses, students are practicing "don't ask, don't tell policy" especially LGBTQ students. The presence of military recruiters would make these LGBTQ students feel uncomfortable. One simple reason is pupils might have to open up to the recruiters about their sexuality so that they (recruiters) could back off.
In high school, military recruiters are pain in the butt. This year, I forgot to sign the opt-out form which stops schools from send personal information to military recruiters and colleges. Because of this, army recruiters have been contacting me by phones, emails, and letters. My parents are also sick of them because they call my house every other day. My parents are thinking about changing phone number in order to get away from them. Last month, army recruiters came to my high school's college fair, uninvited. It is crazy to see how recruiters are willing to do anything just to get you be part of theirs.
I think military recruiters should not be allowed to recruit students on both college campuses and high schools. If students really wanted to be in the military, they would go to the recruitment center and sign up by themselves. Military recruiters should back off and leave the students who don't want to be in the military alone.

I think that don't ask don't tell is stupid and discriminatory. I don't think that military recruiters should be on campus.
Unfortunately, it's power of the pursestrings. Even if I don't like what the government is doing, it's not as if the colleges are going to turn down millions of dollars worth of federal funding.
If anything, it may be advisable to try to fight "don't ask, don't tell" in another way.
This issue wasn't so much if they should be allowed on at all but if they can be denied because of the don't ask don't tell policy.
Personally, I think they should have the same rights and responsiblities as any prospective employer.
So of course, military recruiters are allowed to recruit anyone from any college campus they want.
Actually, they recruit from the people who sign up. How do you handle car salesmen? You tell them "no thanks, just looking". How do you handle the other salesmen that call during dinner? You tell them "no thanks. Please remove my name from your list". That's it. End of story.
There's NOTHING that says that you have to tell a recruiter that you are gay. That's nobody's business but your own. Also, there's no reason recruiters from (just about) any job can't be on campus for recruiting. Just because some folks have an open hatred for the military doesn't mean they should go away.
So this is that "progressive" support for the military? Whatever they do is fine as long as there's a "Democrat" in office. Getting the UN's blessing is not required, but if a Republican is president, it's illegal to move without their full blessing. Don't worry about not having enough equipment, if there's a "Democrat" president, youre requests will only be denied.
I think that Military should not be on campuses or any school grounds for that matter. Goverment says that they "fund" schools and should be able to. ITS CRAP! If the goverment doesn't want to fund schools because we wont let military on campus so be it. Just let them remember in a couple of years future generations will be running the Goverment. And it wont be good with us not knowing what to do.
If the military is not allowed on campus to recruit, recuritment falls bellow what they need, and the goverment continues to demand more of the military- were do you think the needed recruits will be found? (remember the draft?)
At my high school they came, they bribed many of my friends, and had them sign up. I think that as long as they sit in a corner and wait for the students to come to them then its ok but when they begin to force the army on students, trying to send them off to the war then absolutely not.
It's common for military recruiters to trick people into signing up, especially in poorer areas. I'll never forget that segment in Fahrenheit 911 where Michael Moore investigates that. And regardless of your opinions about the film, the wily ways of some military recruiters desperate to make quota disgusted me.
People should tear down the military recruitment fliers that they post on campus and replace them with anti-war fliers or nothing. I am amazed that more people have not done this. Is everyone a chicken?
College recruiting is fair game to me. College student are smart people who is in the mist of deciding their limitless future. However, the high school recruiting should be ban. High school student have yet to explore their future.
I think that colleges should be able to deny the military to come on campus, and if they are denied, or uninvited, they shouldn't show up. However, that is how some students manage to pay for school, and some students may genuinely want to join the military, so yes, they should be allowed on campus, just like banks, religious organizations, and companies can come. However, the recruiters should back off if the student is not interested.
