If anyone is into college football I'm sure you have heard the name Tim Tebow. You know the quarterback for the Florida Gators. I spent the last four years of my life in St. Augustine, Florida and I went to St. Augustine High school. Our rivals are the Nease Panthers home to Tim Tebow. I saw Tim Tebow play four times during my high school career, and every time we played him and his team they lost. Why? Because Tim Tebow is not amazing. At least that is how I feel. There are several arguments anybody could give me about why the team lost, but I don't think they will be accurate. The Tim Tebow hype that surrounded UF last year, and overshadowed Chris Leak, is going to expand even more now that he will probably start this year. I think that Tim Tebow is an ok quarterback, but I don't think he is worth all the hype.
For those who did not know, St. Augustine, Florida is in the Northeastern part of the state and is home to a couple of state championship high school football teams. (Nease (4A) and St. Augustine High (3A) 2005 state champions)

Tebow definitely isn't nearly as good as everyone says that he is. He certainly didn't compare to Leak at all. Tebow was good for a few rushing yards, but that's about it. I hope my Gators (my dad's Gators, actually, but my school doesn't have a football team) don't suck this year because of it.
