I think that its time for Congress to quit dabbling in the ballpark and get back to more important issues.
Time, and money, both of which can be used for more important issues; are being penpointed for steriod use in baseball. Steriods are wrong when used in sports; its a form of cheating, and cheating is wrong. But there are commissioners that can take care of the steroid use...Congress has bigger fish to fry.
There are the issues of recession, how are we going to stop it? Will a stimulus package help, or does more need to be done? What about the war in Iraq? After the troop influx of the last year, more are schedueled to serve in Iraq. When will this war end? The environment is another big issue that deserves time in Congress. Global warming is a real threat is Congress doing everything possible to stop the imprints our society is leaving on the environment? If we can send a man to the moon why can we not make a vehicle that gets more than 30mpg? There has to be a reason for that. There are many issues that Congress could be devoting time to.
I understand that baseball is America's pastime...but I think that Congress has spent enough time investigating steriod use...its time to move on to more pressing issues.
