Is anything safe anymore?

As usual, I'm posting this article as an introduction to the blog topic.

Today's blog is related to the safety of food products and even toys these days. I am beginning to wonder what products I can trust. I find it interesting that the same bacteria found in chicken in now being found in the most unlikely of products such as cereal. I have to give kudos to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for handling the situation in a well fashioned manner even though that is their primary job. You know how residual the government and related agencies can be at times, right? Especially when handling disastrous or dangerous situations. I'm really glad they're handling it and taking the matters into their own hands instead of denying it. I guess it is our responsibility to become more cautious shoppers and really investigate things before they are purchased. I'm sure everyone recalls hearing about the "toxic toys" that were filled with lead, right? This is just another example of how people can become so inundated with products that they forget to double check them for possible threats to human society. It is truly mind boggling, and proof that society is indeed a complex "invention". You never know what's going to happen from one day to the next, and the products that we use on a daily basis are now be questioned and sometimes recalled. I just have one question: What's next??

We will never know what product is good and what product is not.In my parents time the news or FDA rarely mentioned that certain products were bad. But now the economy is trying to cut corners so much that it is affecting the generation of today. I am so scared to even get my 6 month old any toys because I don't want her picking up and slobbering all over lead.
