It's just a game! Sit Down and Shut Up!

Soy Boy's picture

Last Night I went to Turner Field in Atlanta to watch the Braves play the Cubs. We sat down just as the game was starting and during the first inning The pitcher for the Cubs hit one of the Braves players with a ball and then he made a motion like "Come and get me" Well all the players rushed ontot he field and it was a big to-do.

On to my story, there was this man 2 rows in front of me(Let's call him Bob) ..... He was a Cubs fan and he began to yell all kinds of things at all the Braves players and all the fans around him (including me). The entire night we was insane. People began to move away from where he was sitting because wasgetting kind of violent. There was this one point where an older man to him to calm down and "Bob" pushed the old man. Our whole section just kinda didn't know what was wrong witht his guy. Anyway..... The Braves finally came back in the last inning and beat the Cubs. "Bob" tossed his beer out onto the field and then he just kept on cursing. Most people couldn't believe what was going on.

I guess the point of this blog is to ask why some people can't contain themselves??? Especially when it comes to sports. Don't these people know that we don't care how they feel and we don't appreciate listening tot hem curse. There were small childeren listening to that smut and yet he wouldn't quit making a fool of himself.

It seems to me that people like that need to watch games and other sporting events at home where they aren't going to bother or harm other fans. It's completly ridiculous to act like that over a game. Games are meant to be fun and everyone wants to enjoy them. When someone goes over the top and starts acting like an ass (pardon my French) then the game isn't as much fun anymore.

Bottom line is this: People need to contain themselves, if they can't then they shouldn't participate.

P.s. The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908. That's what? 99 years?.......can "Bob" really think his team is that good anyway?

Players' steroids plus fans' beer equals an entire league of (pardon my French) donkeys. Two things will help regain the credibility of this pastime.

Have all players pee in a cup before going out on the field.

Restrict beer.

Too bad this can't work. Beer is a large portion of the stadium's revenue and without steroids we would have Japan an Mexico play the American sport.

do you classify yourself as a conservative???

I hope you know that steriods are kinda something many athletes use to cheat themselves and other people... just look at floyd landis.
