War is not the Answer

First off I would like to say that I fully support our troops, I appreciate that they are fighting for our rights and to protect us [so don’t tell me I am being unappreciative and whatnot. Secondly just because I support the troops does not mean I support war, and just because I don’t support war does not mean I am being unappreciative of the trust.

War is not the answer, we need to stop acting as if we can solve everything with violence. Violence is NEVER under any circumstances the answer [don’t try and be smart by saying well what does V-I-O-L-E-N-C-E spell then]. Oh yeah, it may seem like a good idea to fight fire with fire but in the end you are just causing more problems. People need to realize that by causing war we are teaching the next generation of leaders that violence can solve all our problems. I for one do not want to be taught that, it’s time to make peace, bring about understanding and tolerance.

It is time we found new ways to compromise and make things right. We can’t go about starting a war all the time over a disagreement. I know the say “Actions Speak Louder Than Words” but the actions we take do not have to have a violent undertone to them. If we keep making war over things, we are in for a serious societal collapse. If the people the world turns to for answers and guidance and leadership are showing us that war is the only way however are we supposed to progress?
