Our fallen Hokie Family members deserve to be laid to rest and have final respects paid to them with dignity. Fred Phelps and the WBC are planning to protest at ALL the funerals they can find. This is UNACCEPTABLE and we, the signed, express our desire for action to be taken against the WBC to prevent them from doing so.

He willed this to happen to punish you for assailing His servants.

This is the most horrible thing ever!! This is as bad as those crazies protesting outside the funerals of the gay men and women who died in the military...saying they deserved to die because they were abominations in the eyes of god...

I am so tired of Phelps and his band of idiots. If they hate America so much... why don't we give them their own island some where so we don't have to fool with them anymore and they can be content away from all of us evil people who are all going to hell and taking the country with us? Two birds, one stone...

As much as I am horrified that WBC is going to protest the funerals, we are still a free country. We have no right to ban them, it's their freedom of speech, no matter how unsympathetic and heartless they are being...they have the right to protest at the funeral.
No I do not agree with them, I think they are a menace to the nation. But the Constitution guarantees that right to everyone, even scumbags like WBC.

I am all for free speech but a place of morning is not a place for political speech. this is an outrage, I hope something prevents them from speaking or that the media will at least have some common sence and ignore those idiots.
Besides funerals occur on private property, legally free speech is checked at the door.

But they're not going to be inside protesting they're going to be outside off the property protesting. So it is not illegal for them to protest.
Unfortunately the media will cover them and it will fuel their need to protest more so they get exposure.
