Do you ever just sit down and think about college? Or maybee you focus your thoughts about how your going to pay for college like i do.... Paying for college can be a lifetime thing and schools must not care that much about our futures if they want to put us in debt right when we decide we want our futures to look bright and excel in the real world. Thinking about his and discussing this with my friends i realized its more of an issue than what i thought it was. I live in a small town in Wisconsin and there isnt a whole lot of opportunity for money. I've found out that many of my fellow classmates aren't even thinking about going on to college because of the COST. Now days it is virtually inpossible to get to the top with just hard work and dedication like our parents could do. We need that schooling to make our futures look bright or even have a chance in making it big in the real world, which all of us dream of doing. We as students need to find ways for everyone to have an equal chance at getting that secondary schooling, which seems to be the key to success in the real world today.!

I'm in the same situation as you, except I know there are plenty of opportunities out there for money. Try joining a search engine for scholarships and work on creating a college essay brimming with personality.

I agree with you when you say this is a huge issue, but I dont feel the same way when it comes to schools not caring. In order to give us the best possible education and living conditions, colleges need money as well. They do offer scholarships and financial aid because they care, although maybe it seems like they don't.

Keep at it and talk to your counselor about any chances for scholarships, they are out there.

Yeah your right they are out there and counselors have "answers" to these questions. But how many scholarships are out there? There is not enough scholarships out there to fulfill everyones needs. And yeah you can apply spend the 2 or 3 hours of your time typing a essay or what have you and then you dont get the scholarship. Thats the story of Thousands of high school students seeking to get financial aid for college. Most of them are run down by the thought of spending all that time and getting nothing. This just ruins peoples hopes and dreams about going to college and they give up. It happens EVERY day.

Scholarships are hard to find however it is possible that there are some still left for some people. The truth is that some people do not apply for scholarships because they do not believe they will get a scholarship. For example, an essay that involves having a work cited page for a scholarship contest may only have a few competitiors who meet the requirements. We all know that only three people out of all the people who blog will win this scholarship, but many joined because they thought it would be easy.
