I feel that someone (maybe the governnment since they have ssoooooo much power) should find some soultion to the problem with gangs. Gangs are taking over all over the US. people are day of every minute as a result of gang violence. lets talk about why people join gangs. They join gangs for powwer, money ,status, and a sense of belongin. No one wants to be alone and gangs make people feel protected but contarary to popular belief the gang memebers are putting themselves in more danger by joining the gangs the being out of one. Being in a gang means that you are expected to do certain things like kill and rob in order to show your strenght aswell as your weaknesses. gang memebers pride themselves of money and credit this to the many live sthey have taken and places they have destroyed. many mothers wake up wondering where there childre are and come to the realizatioon they they belong to the streets . The streets need to be ridde of gang members who most of them have dropped out of h.s and are minority based groups who aren't asn dtill havenot been expected to avhieve any kind of merit in their lifetime because thier race,a nd economic status continues to pull them down resulting in a reason to settle for less than what is expected . gangs are destroying many communities as well as mine and the area I go to school. many kids I've seen in the beginnign of the year are no longer in the school. It's not because they've been expelled it;s just that the gangs have literally taken over and teens are bi=eing morphed in to creatures thathave no care for the world.

There are many gang-prevention centers and programs. Unfortunately, I can't speak for thier budget. Let's just hope they're doing a good job.
