Just the other day I finished the best book I have ever read in my whole life.
First of all, I have never liked reading. Many can probably relate. At school teachers forced me to read American Literature from like 100 years ago. I would read one page and not even comprehend what I read because of the Thee's and Thou's. I have never really thought twice about reading, but it was not because I hated the reading part, it was the boring content that steered me away from books. I stayed in this mindset about reading until one of my friends told me about "the best book she had ever read in her life". I was like ok. Then I started to notice how all of my girl friends were borrowing her book and even buying their own copy of this book. I then knew this must be something good. After hearing the 30 minute conversations at lunch about a "book". I had to read it.
And Im so happy that I did.
The book is called Twilight by Stephanie Myers. When I began to read it I could not put it down. It is the very first book she has ever wrote, and she did a splendid job!
The book is about a girl named Bella that moves in with her father in a town by the name of Forks. She begins in a new high school, trying to build her reputation and fit in. She hates Forks because it is so rainy and boring, unlike the dry and sunny Arizona where she used to live. She wants to go home until she is mesmerized by them. The Cullens, a mysterious group of white skinned "beautiful"...people...or so she thinks people.. She then becomes further mesmerized by a particular Cullen, Edward,(you will love this character by the end of the book). Bella finds out about life, or at least staying alive. She also realizes that Forks is not such a bad place after all and that she is in love.
This book is not the only one by Stephanie Myers. Her sequals to Twilight are New Moon, and Eclipse. Im reading New Moon now.. my friends are done with it and it is so hard for them to not tell me what happens. Over half of my English class has read these books for pleasure. I highly reccomend it!

Is 'Rebecca' by Daphne DuMaurier...Try that one on for size.
East of Eden, if you have the time. A lot of time.
I think this book is over rated.... it wasn't thaaat good. And I am suprisingly enough NOT in love with Edward Cullen like everyone else I know who's read this book.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It is amazing how the author fills the characters fully and they have many different layers.
Some other books I love is Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr and the Sweep Series by Cate Tinesman..
Im so glad you agree!
