Non-Catholic Tales from the Catholic School System

Well, what a year it has been. I was on this blog before, with the username of 'thepenfairy'. Not sure if anyone remembers me. But, oh well. The reason for this new account is quite simple: I had an unexpected e-mail change. Forgot the password, and had no idea how to get the old account back.

Well, I'm back now and ready to start blogging again. I am a non-Catholic graduate from the Catholic School system. Many people probably think that only Catholics, or only Christians go to Catholic schools. I am a Christian, but earlier this year I learned that there are indeed non-Christian students at my school.

Catholic Schools have their own stereotypes. Especially the all-girls schools like mine. The biggest stereotypes are that we're all lesbians or we're all whores. Hmmm....Interesting. While I am sure that my school might have a few of each, that certainly doesn't apply to all of us.

I think people develop their own theories about Catholic schools, most likely from Hollywood, music videos, and the like. Many people view a Catholic School girl in a Britney Spears esque type of way.

I don't think they would find that at my school. If your skirt is too short, you'll be in for a visit with Mrs. Hernick, and Mrs. Hernick knows best. She's the Dean of Discipline. When she's in the hall, your uniform better look neat or you're bound to be written up.
