I am sure people have noticed that I am what you call a “tree hugger.” And that is a.o.k with me!! I am also a huge supporter and participant with greenpeace. I get these newsletters all the time about how we can prevent the Earth from basically disintegrating right under us.
Anyways the latest news is that “destructive fishing practices and over fishing are among the most significant threats threatening our ocean today.” Greenpeace even put out a list of fish that should not be purchased because of this major problem.
It just seems to be that more and more problems are coming about for our Earth. But the problems always start out really small and that is when we need to take action, but people begin to ignore the problem and it grows into something that it so big that the planet is too lazy to take care of. There are so many fish on that list that there is no way we are going to get everyone to stop supporting the ruining of our oceans.
I understand that we all have things to do and all. But I just wish that when ever we started those “destructive fishing” techniques that we would just stop and think of a more environment friendly procedure to fish.
