nagnagnagcomplaincomplaincomplain

people like to complain about things, & i am not saying that anyone specifically is. people like to complain, they like to nag and bicker, and not do anything to help the problem be resolved.

one thing that i think that schools should focus on these days is problem solving skills. in all areas of life. not just the socially acceptable ones. mainly, because we all know that our pre-graduation schooling taught us next to nothing about the "real" world.

play video games, be a mediator, be a go-between, anything really, just practice your problem solving skill. hone them. sharpen them. whittle them down to a fine point that you, yourself, would not want to touch, lest ye be pricked.

people these days are more concerned with what they have, with what they have "earned," with what they have already accomplished. back in the day it wasn't like that. it mattered more to a person how you helped them and how you can help them in the future. not what you said you could do, not who your friends were.

it mattered more to them, what kind of person you were, it mattered to them what your actions have produced, it mattered more to them how high you could hold your head up and say "these are my convictions and my prerogatives, i will hold true to them more than anyone i know." mostly because if you could hold your word up, and the weight that it carries, then in their times of need, you could help them. you could make sure that they make it through their hard times okay.

Really good point. A lot of us want to complain about the things we lack instead of the things we have. It is just like that saying,we pray to God when we want something or when things are going good, but we blame him when things are going bad. Good point.

just strikes me as plain odd.
