If you want White folk to give up television for the rest of their lives, you'll have to give each of them about a million dollars. If you want White folk to be Black folk for the rest of their lives, it will cost you less than 10 grand per head! So indicates the latest study to underscore the fact that most Whites haven't a clue as to what it really means, er, cost to be Black. Surprising, huh? Not! But while we're indulging ourselves, let me ask: What would I have to pay you, my Black sistas and brothas, to be White for the rest of your lives? i like how black i am...
but i thought more blacks were becoming wealthier. i think it will take more than 50 years for blacks to be equal to whites (like you social class), but anyways... i don't know the statistics... it's just what i think
-maybe they should talk about latinos also... there are lot of them in this country you know... it shouldn't be black and white... it should be now black, brown, yellow, and white.
all i can say is that i like DIVERSITY... i makes the world more interesting!
Cheers!
I think the statistics are a little misleading. I'm sure they include people like Bill Gates, who few people can aspire to be worth. My family doesn't even make $150K a year. So, I think if you took out the outliers, the gap would be smaller (though not non-existent).

we are readers here. There's too much garbage on tv we don't want so we don't watch it much except for Christian t.v.?news.
I don't know about how people get along where you live, but where I live the white and black community has become very tight-knit and close. My community has around 34,000 residents. I don't know of anyone here that is not getting along due to race. In fact, it is the norm here to see blacks and whites going to church together and going out to dinner afterwards, getting married(there are b/w couples in the church we visited recently) and no one is upset about it at all; in fact we kinda like it a lot.
