I just thought I would tell everyone the story behind the picture of me with someone sticking their hand to my mouth. Well it happend on March 15, 2007. The day started out dark. I decided to clean my disator of a room. So I start to pick up and sort my clothes and then I headed to the laundry room to clean my clothes, but a storm had picked up and the power went out. I could not clean my room now that we had no power so I wandered around the house and made me a bowl of nacho's. I had yet to notice my sisters dog, ChiChi, sleeping by my door. I watched my bored brothers play with the wooden katanas for a while then I was going to my room to start to clean with out the electricity. ChiChi was there infront of my door, sleeping somewhat. She usually did this as a lot of our dogs sleep by my bedroom door. So I gave a gentle nudge with my foot to move out of my way so I could get into my room. I nudged her a few times until she actually moved, somewhat slow, toward the bathroom. She flooped on the ground. She was panting a an abnormal pace. I thought it was just because we had no airconditioning now that the power was out. So I called my sister, ChiChi's owner and best friend, and told her this. Jennifer did not seem worried and told me to give her some water. i went to the kitchen and got a plastic container and filled it iwith water and layed it in the waiting room. I gave ChiChi another little nudge with my feet to make her get up and go to the bowl to get water. She would not move. I paniced! I was freaking out. I picked her up and tried to make her stand up. She couldn't. It was like she was completly paralized. I called my sister back and I was on the brink of tears. She told me to call my mother and I asked if she wanted me to take ChiChi to the vet. My brother Kenneth was now involved in this and so was my step father Carlos. I called my mother and told her what was going on and she said to pick her up at work. I held ChiChi in my arms and carried her out to Carlos's car. My brother Kenneth and his fiance followed behind us in their car. We had no clue where the vet was. So while I waited for my mother to clock out and get in the car I called 411, with the permission of my sister, to get the number of the nearest vet office. I called and it was closed. Thank god there was an emergency clinic not far. We drove sa fast straight into the next city, thinking we knew where the place was. We ended up at a closed vet office. I called the number again and she told us we had gone. I held ChiChi in my arms the whole way, I told her over and over again that I would be alright, I knew in my heart that it wouldn't. We found the place and rushed her in. The vets told us she had a uterus infection and that she had to have all these things done to her. The bill was over 800 dollars, but we did not care. We were flat broke, but to save her life we would do anything. Me and my sister sat in the waiting room, but she couldn't take it. So I followed her out side. My step father had left to take my mother back to work. We were maybe there for ten minutes, though it seemed like hours. The four of waited outside and one of the vets stepped out. I knew it was not dead. ChiChi had passed. We broke into tears. I felt like I was in a dream. This could not have been happening. We comferted each other and told each other it would be okay. My big brother told us that he would get her and take her home. My sister drove me home in her car and my brother arrived at the house a little later and my brother dug her a hole my the beautiful flower bearing trees in our yard. After coming to grips with the day, to get our minds off of it we went to none other than Wal*Mart where my mother worked. We tried to tell jokes and say great things about her. So me, my sister Jen, and my brother Josh and Andrew went into Wal*Mart and on our way to see our mother my brother Andrew took his camera with him. So we messed around in Wal*Mart, doing stupid stuff and taking goffy pictures. We all sat down at their restaurant and my brother told my he wanted to get a picture of her giving me a piece of chocolate so he took three of them and that is where this picture comes from. The chocolate was hollow milk chocolate sheeps. There was three white ones and one black. ChiChi was black and that one sheep seemed to sybolize her in a way.
I just thought I would say...
