It represents the natives of the area, and gives a firsthand look of how thier lives have been impacted by the loss of coastal area - for example, entire villages being erased from existence. It give the sense of being a travel guide, taking you through the Louisiana coastal area, while presenting heart wrenching facts, figures, and lives.
This is a sure read for anyone who is interested in the environment or the state of affairs for our coastline.
