Before I write anything about my beliefs, I think that it is important for me to introduce myself. My name is Annalyce, I'm a freshman at Brandeis University, and I'm originally from Cape Cod, MA. My current plan is to double major in Politics and American Studies, and double minor in Legal Studies and Social Justice and Social Policy. This summer I will be interning at the Massachusetts State House, so I will probably be writing on issues that come up there.
I honestly can't say enough about my interest in politics and government - the way the world is governed fascinates me to no end. That being said, the implementation of public policy as well as civil liberties are the areas I'm especially interested in.
I support Barack Obama as a candidate for president. I have campaigned on his behalf, and enjoy being challenged to defend my support for him.
I suppose I am what many would call a "liberal", but to me it is more progressive. Libertarianism is complete nonsense to me, as well as social conservatism. I'm sure I will get to that in further posts. It is hard for me to abbreviate my beliefs, so I won't try to here.
