Today I recycle a bag of water bottles. I got $5, well though it's not a huge amount of money, I did it just to recylce and save the planet. About a month ago my dad asked why I collected the bottles, that they would not be worth much, he did not understand that I wanted to do something and save the earth, and that it was not about the money, though the cash is good :)
Of course I can help the environment by not using a car, but hey, school is way to far for my bike to go.
Each Bottle= Small .04 Big= .08 About 13 24 oz bottles=$1
So by saving each day a bottle,or newspapers or something, you can get money to pay for the gas.

Wow, I didn't know they still paid people to recycle bottles and stuff. In my town they pick up recycling like they pick up trash. We get no money :(, but hey at least we are helping the environment right.
Were I live, they have recycle rooms outside of "Food for Less" and "ralphs" you just put the can through a hole and after that, get a recipt, go to ralphs and get money. Maybe if they paid in your town more people may do it
I used to do that when I was younger. I don't know why I stopped though.
Hey if you drink water bottles, save them. 13 big ones get you a dollar, may not seem like a lot, but ina while it will add up
