A few days ago Fox News idiot Bill "I beat sexual harassment cases with my wallet" O'Rielly showed sexually sugestive pictures of Disney Channel star Miley Cirus. Bill's beef with the Disney star was that her fans, the girls who look up to her, wouldn't be positively encouraged my her suggestive pictures. I agree.

What I dont agree with is the fact that Bill O'Rielly condems her for putting the pictures online "for millions to see", while he puts them up on his show, for millions to see. The hypocracy. Now, I am not a Miley fan, but sheesh. When was it a shock for a seventeen year old girl to take pictures with her boyfriend. None of the pictures showed any "private" parts, and it seems they were taken from Miley's home, where her parents also reside. Not some Lindsay Lohan strip club.

This brings me to my point. Why is it that the American mainstream media loves to build up mythical personas of celebrities then as soon as the celebrity reaches the summit of stardom, here comes the wrecking ball. The action seems very childish, and self righteous. This is why Bill O'Rielly is such a polarizing figure. Either you are an idiot like him, or you have common sense. I hope most American are the latter.

Celebrities, politicians, etc are human. Common sense would tell you that a 17 year old girl would relish the chance to take pictures with her "puppy love" boyfriend, who probably hasn't gotten to second base yet. This same common sense would tell you that politicians dont always have their facts staright, and probably have come in contact with shady people, as we all have.

Getting back to the idiot, Bill O'Rielly now is calling for Hannah Montana to comment on the pictures. Who is this guy? I know who he is. This is the same guy who originally denied sexual harassment allegations, then reportedly dropped a six-figure sum to quash the civil litigation. Has he ever made a public statement regarding those facts? No.

Never throw bricks, if you live in a glass house Bill, and Miley, for the sake of your career keep these kinds of pictures off of the internet. Its not that they are bad, but that idiot hate mungers will cut/paste, edit then use them to start controversy and get ratings.

Good blog! O'Reilly has a really bad habit of engaging in precisely that which he is criticizing. His "culture warrior" bit allows him to titilate the audience while he pretends to hold the moral high ground.

They covered this on South Park a couple of weeks ago. I think that show is hilarious. The whole show was about harrassing Britteny literally to death. They wrote it off essemtially as a ritual fertility sacrifice necessary for the crops and society to flourish. It ended with them suggesting that Miley Cyrus was next in line for sacrifice.

South Park has always paid attention to the current trends of idiot Americans. Now, we need more than construction paper 3rd graders to stand up for "Common Sense" Americans.

P.S. Remember the infamous "Jesus vs. The Devil" Pay Per View episode. Still my favorite. That and Towely!

she was 15 not 17 so it was a little bit more of a ummmm.... wtf..
and i agree completely with the O' Reilly statement.
but in regards to the whole thing i don't think it was excessively right to put pics of yourself at 15 or let that happen without a real comment of anger... at this point any youn girl star seems to be trying to get into a sex scandal and follow in the dumbass footsteps of linsey lohan and Parris Hilton... it just makes one sad when you know young girls are worshipping some one who puts no fight up when pics go up on the internet of them baring bras and whatever shit that needs to stay in their personal life
