"The difference between men and boys, is the lessons they learn. The difference between great men and men, is that great men persue there dreams."
This society beleive it or not, was never meant to persue dreams. An indiviual can say yes it was meant to persue goals but never dreams. Goals and dreams are made different, they were never to be mistaken as being the same thing. Goals are what the world from age 1 gives you to make sure you add to a better world. As confusing as it sounds ama try to explain little better. Goals are the things you basically learn because a dream is imagintaion. Now a dream. A dream is amazing. A dream is when you take whatever thrives your soul and make that into your passion of work. A dream is what society fears. So society gives you goals. "Attend college, become a doctor, lawyer, police officer". All great jobs nothing against them at all. But are they really dreams or goals? Who really dreams of becoming a doctor or lawyer? Other than the fact a perosn might think yea ama make bread (money) off this, who really dreams of becoming one. Dreams have nothing to do with money. Goals have everything to do with the stuff. Money is great everyone needs money to survive. But reality is dont brake down your dream because you think you cant make money. Your dream is your passion. It wont even feel like a job because its something you'll wana do everyday of your life. People have always feared dreams. If an indiviaual had a dream to create his or her own world, find a way to enter a black whole and enter a new universe, then that person is crazy. There either really high off someting or have no friends. But who am i or anyone else to judge. The greatest minds in the world were considered crazy. Who would have ever dreamed the world not to be flat or the earth not the center of the universe? Who would have ever dreamed the color of skin is still an issue in 2007? Martin Luther King had dreams. Not goals. He saw a world different. He saw a man for a man, a child for a child. People we are all human, (animals). Eat, sleep, and play like the next. Why must we turn are backs against what are souls desire for money. And even if money is a issue at the end of the day, by persuing your dreams money will come, thats just how life works. If your younger brother,sister,cousin,friend...Desides to wana walk the sun. Dont laugh, dont ask why, dont look at him or her with judgment. They're dreaming. And there is nothing wrong with persuing a dream.

Dreams are considered dreams mostly because they are things that are unattainable, not necessarily what society deems unreasonable. A dream is more like an ideal--you would prefer that situation, but there are ming-boggling scenarios that make it impossible.
All in all, this is merely my opinion. Your take on this issue is interesting. I can only offer that there is a fine line between dreams and goals. For instance, I have always dreamt of college--I knew right off that my family would never be able to afford it, however, so my -goal- now is to get that money in order to complete my dream. The two, when you think of it, seem to go hand in hand.
