Halloween : BOO

Okay my little chickens; here is a brief history ofHalloweenSamhain, Nos Galon Gaeof, Shadowfest, Martinmas, All Hallows Eve, the Westwind Sabbat. This festival begins at sundown on October 31st. It is the Festival of the Last Harvest and represents death and endings. It is a time when the spirits of our departed ancestors return to the earth and walk amongst us as the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest. Deceased ancestors and other friendly spirits are invited to join in the Sabbat festivities and be reunited with loved ones. It is traditional to put a burning candle in a window to guide them to us, and to leave a plate of food and a drink outside for any wandering spirits. It is the beginning of the Wiccan Year. Darkness increases and the Goddess reigns as the Crone. The God, teh Dark Lord, passes into the underworld to become the seed of his own rebirth which happens at Yule. It is the end of good weather. The first week in November is also a time to light bonfires and burn effigies, which represent all that is bad. This is done to ensure the purity of the coming year. See there’s nothing to be scared of now. Is there? Keep your head straight K-

What if someone walking on a sidewalk sees their food and drink; therefore, they eat and drink it?

It would lead me to beleive that the intended spirits will be drawn to you.

One history of trick or treating has it that kids used to steal the food that was set up, which was the eventual rise of trick or treating. So, if that's the real history (and I rather believe that one makes more sense than that Americans started it to give kids something to do), it happened quite often before.

No :) I've just not had the time to comment lately. There's been a ton going on! You can always throw pebbles at me via PM and I'll respond :)
