The Democrats

Okay - Today is the long (or shortly) awaited day in the fact that the Potomac primaries will take place. Barack Obama is predicted to win many (or all) of them. Hillary Clinton, who seems to be locked in a race so titilating race, which may result in a democratic convention that hasn't been brokered since the days of Hubert Humphrey, way back in the sixties.

Both seem to be polarizing figures, and both seem to have thier friends across the nation. The positives of a Obama presidency seem to be a renewed sense of hope, a supposed clean up of politics, and a new era for the American people. However, the positives of a Clinton presidency seem to be reform of policy, a liberal presidency, and increased responsibility and admiration of the US around the world.

Personally, I support Barack Obama, for many reasons, one of which is that I have seen what years of partisanship have done to this country, and it is definitely not a good thing. I think that Clinton is just too polarizing of a figure for the Democrats right now, especially, when they do not have a solid majority in the nation. For the record, I think McCain would be a decent President, should he stick to his moderate principles, rather than pandering to the base of the party.

So, Where does the presidency really belong? In the hands of a progressive Obama, or a (good) policy specific Hillary? Or the hands of the Moderate Republican, John McCain?
