Media bias

"I’ve watched with dismay as Dan Abrams has lowered himself into the sewer over at MSNBC by going completely in the tank for Obama, and turning the network into a full-time operative of the DNC. But Abrams is clearly one of the principal players behind that move, as it began after he gave up his prior show a couple years ago to be program director for the network. I never imagined he was anything but a New York liberal, but in his prior incarnation when his show focused mainly on legal affairs, I found him to be a fair and insightful inquisitor of his guests and their viewpoints.

Abrams new show is only marginally less partisan than Dolpermann’s, but last night he reached a new low for himself.

At about the halfway mark the show he did a segment on the new video that emerged yesterday of the South Side Catholic Priest Michael Pfleger and his ridiculous “sermon” last Sunday at Obama’s church in Chicago. Pfleger is a long-time ally retired Rev. Wright, and has appeared with and spoken glowingly of Louis Farrakhan.

But Abrams segment was set-up as a blast at Fox News which had been running the new Pfleger video on its various news and opinion programs, and had put the video up on its website. "

MSNBC news is one of the main culperates. I think you have to look outside the box. MSNBC and NBC especially the today show love to get guests to bash Bush and the Republicans. LOok at Barak Obama.... is he loosing touch with those who want him elected. People are starting to think that he is just another politician.
I am worried about DNC. Some of them have disinfranchised voters. I think it is unreal.
DNC loves to find things wrong with bush. Howard Dean has dragged the DNC through the muck and the mire and people may vote republican. You never hear stuff about Obama much on MSM or main stream media. The reason is bias. Media is bias. I find that some of Obama's associates of questionable character because of words. The words they said in the past that are biased against another group. It is rare for CNN to criticise OBama.
Look at CNN and look at programing on their site. The problem is that some of their networks put the wierd stuff before stuff that is normal and fine..... There are some cartoons that should not be on the air or even marketed as stuff that could be shown in public.

Almost all news broadcast channels are biased, either conservative or liberal. The fact that liberal news stations exist is no more surprising than the fact that conservative news stations exist.

I am getting the impression from the quotation marks that you cut and pasted this from the source cited below the article (but hey, at least you cited it! A lot of people don't even do that!). I also googled the opening line to find out if it was your writing or not.

My reason for asking is that the site asks for 200 words of original content, and I had a hard time picking out which was your analysis of the article. None of it sounded like your "voice" though. What is your assessment of the article? Could you maybe add 200 words about that? Or if you have it in there, adjust the quotation marks to reflect that?

in the media as a "left" or "right" thing is ridiculous. The media has many problems, but for the most part, political bias isn't among them. I used to watch Abrahams show when it was on, and he tried to be pretty balanced. It wasn't his fault some of the stuff his guests braught up (flag pins and the reverend Pfleger) just weren't issues.
