This is my first post...
It is more of an attempt to see how this works...and if it does, indeed cooperate with my computer.
I suppose this would be a good post to talk about myself:
My name is Lori. I am 19 years old and a nursing student at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. When I state where I got to school most dont know where it is...but as a prospective, it is in California next to Six flags Magic Mountain.
In addition to nursing I have a minor in ASL Sign Language. I find it extreemly interesting and fun. Where nursing is more for work and making a living Sign Language is simply what I like to do. It is a new experience for, since I grew u in a small town I never knew a deaf person till I went to college.
I thought that sign language would start as simply a way to get through a language other than English requirement but it has become a passion. I go to as many Deaf events as I can and have been trying to teach everyone I meet some new sign to them so that if they happen to come across a Deaf person they can at least say hi, introduce themselves and say that they only know that much sign...this helps Deaf people feel more accepted by the community, or so I have been told by them.
