Florida a teen that was at boot camp was killed. The fact that this happened and made national news really makes me think about all the so called horror stories about boot camp. I no longer think they are horror stories, but true ones. I have heard about adolescents in boot camp being beaten up, made to do physical training the military does not even require unless you anger someone, and basically being treated like crap. I understand that these people have messed up somewhere along the line and they need discipline but some officers of these camps take it just a tad to far. I don’t even see how this is being allowed to happen. It is kind of like the officers are getting big heads because they are in control of these teens. I am not saying all are bad but I am hearing more and worse than I have ever heard of success in the camps. This has got to stop, somehow, someway. No one deserves to be treated like that.
