Mark Twain stated, "It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have these three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence to practice neither." The Bill of Rights gives me freedoms that are not always attainable everywhere else in the world.
Because of the Bill of Rights, I have the right to free speech, the right to practice Christianity, and numerous other rights.
The right to voice my opinion without being censored by the government is one of the most important rights that I have as an American under the Bill of Rights. The right to speak out against the government is unheard of in other parts of the world, but the right to free speech is necessary to keep our government in check. Free speech allows me to disagree and speak out against my government.
Free speech also lets me support my faith and any other beliefs that I may have. The right to free speech is one of the most essential rights to come out of the Bill of Rights and without it, the United States may not be what it is today.
The right to practice whatever religion we want is also one of the most important rights that is protected under the Bill of Rights. The right to freedom of religion gives me the right to practice Christianity at school, at home, in public, and anywhere else I choose. I can practice Christianity while my neighbor practices Islam or any other religion. It is a crucial right and without it there is potential for animosity and sectarianism in our country.
Of course there are so many rights that make the this country, our constitution, and the Bill of Rights so great, these are just a few of my favorites.

Great topic, but I do have to ask a simple question? Without looking it up on the Internet could you name all 10 of your rights as stated by the Bill of Rights...whatever your answer is, most can't. Heck I can't and that's the problem with America today, how can we even stand up against "tyranny" and "oppresion" if we don't even know what American freedom consists of...
