Channel CW used to air a show called "The Beauty and the Geek", MTV sometimes plays it. It was created by Ashton Kutcher. For the folks who haven't seen it, it is a reality based competition for beautiful women and smart geeky guys to try to live together and socialize. Each week male and female partners compete against the others in different competitions. The Geeks are tested on social skills and the Beauties are tested on their knowledge. I love this show being a geeky girl myself. In the end of each competition, most of the beauties learn to accept the geeks sometimes even having relationships, and the geeks learn to become more comfortable with the beauties. Also the women learn that they can be more than looks, meaning they can be smart and the geeks can be more than intelligence.
I just wish they would make a version called "The Hunk and the Geekette" which would have female Geeks and hot guys. I don't think good looking and athletic men would accept geeky girls as well as the beauties did with the geeky guys. Most guys probably judge by looks. Most men are attracted by looks. I mean even a geeky guy accepted a beauty for a relationships mostly because of her looks, I bet.
Do you people agree or not? I'm not trying to be sexist if I sound that way.

Interesting.. I've never seen the show. Unfortunately, i think you're probably right about the "Hunk and the Geekette" thing. Unfortunately, most guys go for the looks.. but there are a select few that go for the personalities. I know a few.. really nice guys. nyhews. yeah. But thats just my opinion, and i'm not a guy. So lets get some guy comments on here:) hehe

Have you ever noticed that in most shows and movies, the girl is allowed to fall in love with the geeky, or at least not popular drop-dead gorgeous guy, but the only way for a geeky girl to get a gorgeous guy is if she somehow changes her appearance? Totally unrealistic.
But I don't think they'd ever create a show "hunk and the geekette" because it's just not done in in shows and movies.

Though the movie "A Walk to Remember" did, the hot, bad boy fell in love with the geeky,shy Christian girl. (One of my favorite movies!)

My school went to the science bowl and we called our team (consisting of 1 girl and 4 boys) Beauty and the Geeks. Truly priceless name.
And Mandy Moore was the girl in Walk to Remember. While she was pretty, she wasn't in Hollywood style. More like the girl next door.
