I read more than most people might think I have the time for. I read all kinds of stuff, from the "Get Fuzzy" collection my wife and son got me for Christmas to Al Franken to "Generations" (a book that I am still working on, but proposes to use a form of sociology to predict the future, generally speaking, of The United States), but mostly I read any number of books about the world we live in today (terrorism, biological warfare, international relations, works about the current administration). And I've come to one conclusion...
The current administration is one of the most corrupt, deceitful, shameful, unqualified, and just plain evil administrations to ever occupy the executive branch of our government. I'm thinking about running for office, and if elected to office (senate, HoR) I promise to begin proceedings to prosecute as many of them as possible. All the way up, and including, George W. Bush himself.
I firmly believe that Karl Rove and Vice-President Cheney took actions that rise to the level of treason. I believe that if Donald Rumsfeld isn't guilty of treason, then he came awfully close. In any case, Rumsfeld and Cheney have the blood of over 3,000 United States soldiers and sailors on their hands and they should be held accountable. I also believe that Paul Bremer's incompetance was border line treasonous, and at the very least he should be held accountable for his negligence during his time as the head of the "Provisional Authority" in Iraq.
I have to tell you all, the more I read and see and hear the more angry I get. We were deliberately deceived about Iraq, just so that some grumpy old traitors could get the war they wanted and divert attention away from a complete and total mishandling of things here at home. Ever since September 11, 2001, we've been beaten over the head with "war on terror" this and "9/11" that. Not for safety's sake, but because the liars and thieves on Pennsylvania Avenue can try and scare us into giving away our civil liberties and shitting on our own values. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and their toadies Condoleeza Rice and Michael Chertoff are just as much terrorists as Bin Laden and his followers.
Wait a minute Christopher, that's a freaking outrageous statement! Well, here we go with the back up:

Don't all three of those seem to summarize the way the current Presidency has been operating for the last 6 years? Think about all the talking points. Think about the way they couch EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. And it's not just those in government. It's their sycophantic lackeys in the conservative media too. Every one from Rush Limbaugh to all the toadies at the Faux News Network (no, that isn't a typo) to every half-assed Limbaugh wanna be. They are all terrorist, and complicit in the terroistic activities of the Bush administration.
2) Just so we're clear, Dictionary.com provides the two following definitions of "terrorist":

Huh, doesn't that sound familiar? Not just from the streets of Baghdad, Beirut, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Aman, Kandahar, Madrid, London, Palestine, Kashmir, Bombay, Bali, or Greece. But also by the actions and words of our own government.
We just can't stand idly by, my friends, while the Bush "gang" robs us blind, kills our kids, and then expects us to thank them for it. We just can't stand by while they rape us emotionally, morally, and civically.

You do realize that we have been fighting "the war on terror" for decades, right?
Google "American embassy attacks" and get back to me.
Yes, of course I realize that. If that's what you focused on, then I would venture to say you missed the main thrust of my post. And it goes beyond the American embassy attacks. It's all the plane hi-jackings, disco bombings, the Achille-Lauro, the bombing of the Marine barricks in Beirut during the Reagan years.
I still stand by my original thesis. Our government is currently being run by the most amoral, treasonous criminals to ever hold their posts.
There's nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home.--Nikki Sixx
