Hollywood has taste in good talent?

You know what I dont understand? How some artists that are so high up in the charts cant even sing but they are getting money for the talent that they dont even have. There are so many people with real talent that would die for a chance to be interviewed by a top record producer like those guys do.. but never get the chance. Whats the point in spending thousands on dollars to buy equipment to fix a persons voice to make them sound decent when you can find someone who has a voice that doesnt need to be fixed?

Very true. Why make the famous stay as they are when you can find someone new and make their dreams come true?

The business is sooo tricky! I know from experience. I have done acting and I was a bookie. If I never heard of your band and if you didn't submit stuff I wanted than I wouldn't give you a chance. I liked to work with people I knew very well and usually accepted those they knew to a certain degree. Its about knowing the right people and bugging the shit out of them. Otherwise your just another piece of paper lost in my trash can.

The Image..... People who don't have the voice have the Image. It's ALL about Image.

I wish people with pure talents can shine brighter than people with just good looks too. This entertainment industry is killing the real beauty we have in the world.

I totally agree with you..

Heavens, do I agree with you or what...

I've been singing for years, and I have a cd recorded... but to be honest, I've never even tried to send it to anyone, because I'm scared out of my mind that I won't just be rejected--no, I'll be CRUELLY rejected. And that's the truth.

If someone with a real talent and a real PASSION for music can't make it--then what is the musical world coming to? And when I'm eighty years old, am I still going to be wishing for a reincarnated Ella Fitzgerald to show up, because the music she did was real, and passionate, and alive... and nothing else even compares?!
