Oh Shit, The Prodigal Son is Back

As we watch out television screens, the ever growing concern is war, death, pestilence, violence, the end of hope and humanity. Watching nature, it is easily seen that everything works in cycles. The seasons, birth and death, everything. In your life, you will have your ups and downs...it's a cycle. The funny thing about our television is that what we're being shown is only the bad things that are going on.

Why? Because humans are irrational, fearful animals who for the most part, can't make up there own mind. Yes, I'm calling everyone on this site out, including myself and sticking us in the category of animals. The media only reports what it wants because humans don't want truth, they want entertainment more and more. In the Dark Knight a quote stuck out that I found memorable but cannot find on the internet. The gist of it was that sometimes we need something to believe in even when it isn't the truth. Really in this blog I'm packing philosophy, anger at humans and the media all into one...but would any of you who know me expect any less?

When Christians are crying that the end times are near, I say, look to history and see the cycle we're going through. Yes, everything slows down and falls apart, but I don't think it's time yet. A cycle, the circle of life, the Earth is fighting back. China is building a damn that will reroute and entire river, do you expect nothing to happen? The last time we tried something like this, we kinda got fucked up, didn't we. Why can't humans learn that you cannot tame nature because it is an entirely untameable entity. Yes, entity; nature is a thing that exists. We as humans are part of nature. The world could be nearing and end, who knows. But maybe the world is just, say, cleansing itself? Humans do it and we're a part of nature so why can't nature do the same to all of us?

The media shows us only what will get ratings, not actual stories. Hope doesn't get as good of rating or high amounts of viewers like death and destruction does. Quite funny when we live in a society that denounces violence yet as the media shows, we love violence more and more. We're like goddamn Rome, we're bound to fall eventually if we don't clean up our act. I know I'll get some, "Well tells us how to fix it, smartass." Go look at my older blogs, you'll find they have everything you need.

This is a slight return of the prodigal son who's learned more and witnessed more, is coming to terms with life itself and how pointless it is to try to manipulate it. I'm angrier in a sense yet calmer and more thoughtful. Turn off the TV kids and go do something productive, like play outside. Then maybe the world won't end...hahaha

If you say the world is crap, it is crap. If you say the streets are violent, they are. If you take the time to better the world, instead of sitting back and either: wishing, waiting, or expecting someone else to do it; the world will be a better place.

Problem is, people are lazy and lack responsibility. Everyone wants everything done for them and are afraid to try. I agree with you completely.

Exactly. I'll even admit that I am sometimes prone to the very things that you dislike, we all are. I am in no way any different than any other human being, I can be just as fearful and irrational as the next. But at least some of us understand when we become lazy and irresponsible so that we don't stay that way long.

Either that or I have just been gone way to long.

You make great points. I am guility of watching the news but I don't very often because I really don't want to hear about all the fucked up shit going on. My reality is already screwed up enough, I don't really need to add to my stress. Alot of information is bias. One word can change an entire story. Or a few misconskewed words in a sentence. (I am sorry my spelling is off today and I am lazy)

This is funny because I actually noticed the same thing you are talking about when watching stand up comedy. About the cycles we have. Some comedian back in 1991 was talking about global warming, they were talking about high prices etc etc. I think things seem so shitty to us because we have been around longer or came to a realization more than other people. For example someone who was 100 years olds would see good and bad times, but in cycles. I know that sounded confusing, but I hope you understand.

Yes, you are quite right about cycling. We eat, sleep, love, hate, sneeze, and look and see the way of things. It is a cycle. What we know brings us to visions of tomorrow. Lest we forget and repeat that. Which we might know and do it anyway. To ignore.
What do we do? Let the input become garbage in, garbage out? How about the spirit side of life, if you believe in that. What part is part in part of the whole? And how many? Do we let our world become us, or do we decide for ourselves to decide?
I find that the way of things brings about choice. You choose to decide. Decide what? Anything. Why is this? Free will.
I am not a robot. Lest I look back upon myself and say the great spirit brought me to where I am today as a whole. I know it didn't. Though partly so that I was then an organic machine not deciding for myself. Like I had let go. Completely. Doing so brought me to where I am today because I went along with it. I was not a dog on a leash.
An animal is a dog. We can decide to act like them if we want to. Animals know no intelligence. Hindu's beg to differ about that, and I know Durga, who spoils the demons on the go to get me, try as they might. So there is question of us as an animal like nature. If indeed we were made from dirt, as the Bible states, then we are part of that nature. Which is natural. What is not natural is to be an animal.
Animals are in ignorance from their side. I don't want to be in ignorance, so I decide not to act and think like an animal. I don't let the rpm's of life rule me. Religion, politics, money, and sex. The get go of the world. It's everywhere, not just on television and online.
You decide for yourself to go there. Or, let the nature of yourself go there. And that is being an animal. Like a dog, who returns to its vomit, which the word of God submits as proof of our animal like nature.
It is up to us to let Rome fall again. It doesn't have to happen. Man was not made to live to ruin himself over and over. What does it? Ignorance for one, and letting nature get the best of you. Nature can be differences, known and unknown.
It's not natural to be an animal, we weren't born one. But we are born ignorant. We have to learn everything. That makes us different from everything and anything. Even a new born horse colt knows enough to get up off the ground and stand on its feet. Tell me one new born human baby that can do that.
Animals, insects, arachnids, germs, virus, all things not us have pre-born knowledge to do things, we don't. We're the most stupid creation known. But we learn. Where all things not us can't. Try to get a horse to drive a car. I don't think it'll work.
Nature, ignorance, knowledge, awareness, all seem to cumber us and/or hinder and/or teach us the way of things. Part in part of the whole. What part do you want? Do you even want to decide? If you don't nature will take its course upon you. And I tell you this, you will become that organic robot. Numb as a dumb ox or stupid like the horse that pulls the wagon cart around, with blinders on. You will be an animal, who ignorantly returns to the garbage in, garbage out.
Wake up! Don't fear the reaper. Don't let TV, internet, what someone said, take you. Don't let nature have it's way with you. Not your body nor your mind. And for heaven's sake ignore those spirits, for demons dwell there, who can deceive you. They want their way with you as much. Stay away from wrongs that condemn, and rights that lead to wrong. You have a mind and know how to use it. Don't let nature fool you. For if you do, you'll be fooled. And the hardest part of that is, you won't even know you're there. Just like an animal.
