We are in an economic crisis that is beyond our imagination. We need to put our political viewpoints aside and really look inside this bill and realize how this will affect all of us, if our Congress does not act soon. The bill failed today because more people in our US House of Representatives are afraid of losing their political and partisan jobs and influence, instead of being afraid of the millions of jobs that will make this economy worse if and when employers start to lay off employees, are unable to issue payroll checks to hard working citizens, cannot access credit needed to make operations function and work, and expand the business needs that every company faces daily. Something needs to be done and done immediately. I know that our Congress has recessed until Thursday, while our country honors and celebrates the Jewish holiday, but during this time, I hope that all sides will recognize how damaging these delays are having on the economic structures of every area of all of our lives. In the meantime, I would hope that the American people really read this bill and search out the context of what it means in a plain and understandable language, or tune into news networks with financial analysts that are explaining the aspects of the bill, which will be beneficial to we the people. We have had a drop of more than 770 points in our stock market and we are all nervous. Nevertheless, for this moment, voting for this bill will be the best alternative to the current state of our economy. This crisis will be on going, but for those who pay mortgages, rent properties and provide housing for all of us, we need this bill to be passed by the people that we elect to represent our interests. It is bigger than politics. It is necessary for our economy to continue to work.
