So this woman who is atleast 800 pounds and cannot leave her bed killed her 2 1/2 year old nephew. Now they charged this woman for murder, but they had to have the arraignment in her bedroom. Now why did they have to have the arraignment in her bedroom you ask? Because she can't get up from her freaking bed!
So this lady is left to care for a 2 1/2 year old and kills him (two blows to the head that autopsy revealed were due to blunt trauma - I know would have thought something like being crushed to death), and then what is her punishment? She can't even leave her bedroom, let alone her house!
What kind of punishement could they possible come up with for this woman? I do not understand this. She is going to have to be kept under house arrest or something, but it seems like to me that she kinda already is. How can you punish this woman by restricting her liberty (as we do for other criminals) when her life and liberty are already so restricted because of her own doing?
Also, the boy's mother (this woman's sister) was told not to leave the boy alone with this woman. Child protective services told her this. But they told her this because in the event of an emergency the woman would not be able to do much. But I have to look at this from a different perspective and say well if she could kill him, what exactly is she able to do? I have read serveral stories on this and all of them say she is bedridden, but then how did she kill this toddler?
By the bye the mother has been charged for endangering a child.

Maybe he was on the bed with her? At 2 and a half, he was still small enough to hold.
I just really don't get it... but I suppose she could have been holding him, but that would have been really boring for the kid to have to just sit there on the bed all day with his aunt right?

I would love to hear the entire story. Was this possibly an accident? Maybe she didn't know her own strength? I'm glad to hear the mother was charged. It's sad to hear about stuff like this that could have been easily prevented, by maybe paying for a babysitter that could actually keep up with a two-and-a-half year old.

I really want to know the rest of the story too... but I've been searching and have only gotten the same basic story ... no real added details or why she possibly killed the toddler
No one will know what really happened unless they're in the courtroom. Even then, well, you MIGHT get the whole story. Maybe someone will write a book about the story...

I like the idea of sending her to jail and putting her on a diet. Better yet, let's send her to boot camp! I think that type of punishment would help her think and regret what she did, and change her lifestyle.

She is just taking rap for real killer, witch is the Mother. If the obese woman can not get out of bed, then how could she kill baby? The Mother who was ordered not to leave child in care of obese woman, is real culprit. I mean do you have to be a Rocket Scientist to figure this out? REALLY? Now proving it is another matter. But I'll bet that any jury would convict the mother simply on the logic of it.
