I have played soccer ever since I was four years of age. I have always loved the sport and have dedicated years and years to becoming the best I could be for myself and for others. I won MVP and Coachs Award two years in a row. I was also looking forward to playing at a division 1 college on full scholarship, however, two years ago, I tore my ACL and my PCL, which led to possibly sitting out my two last seasons of high school soccer. My doctor looked me in my eye and said “your only hope to play soccer is therapy, lots and lots of therapy.” My therapist instructed me to do a plethora of stretching and strengthening exercises to regain my muscle tissue that I lost after my surgery. After months of agonizing therapy, my therapist rehabilitated me. I was able to play my senior year, which was amazing because we were district champions for the first time in 4 years; we beat our rival team 3 to 2 and I started crying because I realized that my therapist was my hero. Physical therapy would be perfect for me because I would love to have the honor to be someone else’s hero.
