I have been wondering what it actually means. No one ever told me.
well whenever you think about it, think about mexicans and their independence thanks for your comment and come back for more results on cinco de mayo
In my own personal opinion, cinco de mayo is very special to mexicans world wide because it is a day that 4,000 mexican soldiers fought the french at puebla, Mexico. The french learnt to not to mess with mexicans after that showdown............................................
You learn something new everyday; I thought it was the Mexican Independence Day. Or an excuse to drink Corona after March's Guinness fest.
Necessary is an interesting question, one that I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer. I think it's important in Mexico and to those of Mexican desent, but I think the appropriation of a meaningful holiday into an opportunity to sell alcohol (which, let's face it, it's deteriorated into).
I was suppose to know, but I don't know. My parents didn't teach me
Cinco de Mayo is the day in 1862 when the Mexican troops defeated the French troops at Puebla. The French troops originally entered Mexico along with the British and the French in 1861-1862 to collect debts.
well cinco de mayo is one hell of a tradition to begin with, and the mexicans should be glad to have that.
