Car Bombs! Suicide Bombers! Roadside Bombs! OH MY!!

i've realized within the past few days, having heard numerous more of the attacks, that it;s become second nature to hear about it, and it's not anywhere near as sholing as it used to be of hearing "18 dead from suicide bomber in bagdad" at times i wonder if this is how it was when veitnam was going on. did the people then think the same thing?

in a way its really sad that we've become so acustom to hearing these daily attacks and how many troups died today. because that means that we are becoming numb, numb to the fact that death is happening, families are loosing loved ones. something that other than war time is a very devistating thing. i mean when 9/11 happened we all stopped in our tracks at the lose of so many lives. the same happened when we first whent into iraq with all the reports of the dead. but afte, what, about 5 years of this its become another part of your day. i was in 8th grade for 9/11 and freshman year in high school when they went into iraq. i'm not ending my freshman year of college....

it just made me slightly sad when i realized it and i wanted to know if anyone agreed with me.

i'd also like to note that i can't wait till the bring the troups home, bush is crazy for putting more in iraq, thank god next years an election year.

disclaimer-i support our troups but not the war

How do you support the troops but not the war?

by supporting the troups, i believe in them, i hope they make it out okay, and i support them as human beings.
i don't believe in this war and am very anti-war because i am non violent and believe that by fighting war for peace is like f***ing for virginity.
and many of the guys that have come back alive, will say the same, that they don't believe in the reason this war is being faught.
a good short film to watch (though it is fiction, but it's still good and portrays how america is feeling at the moment pretty accuartlly) is called Homecoming, it's a Masters of Horror film by Joe Dante,

Right, but how do you ACTUALLY support them?

"many of the guys that have come back alive, will say the same..."

Do they? How many have you sat down with and talked personally to, to get their take on the war in Iraq?

well, i support by mainly wearing the braclets, ribbons so on and so forth.

as far ass it goes for who i've sat down with and what not, i have not personally done so (tho i have met the guy) but my boyfriend has, he has a friend that went twice i belive and the things this guy tells you and his beliefes on the war, are just that, he doesn't support it. don't get me wrong i know there are the ones who will always support it.

also one of my ex's is now in the air force, my sisters best friend served i belive 4 years in the navy, theres another guy that i know that is going into the marines as soon as he can. he is hardcore for the marines too, but doesn't support the war or this president.

you don't have to support something to do it.

I will direct you to these few sites if you so desire. The person who wrote this blog (and incidently, myself as well) is good friends with the personal bodyguard of the now sitting prime minister of Iraq, Maliki. He just got back from his final tour of duty, doing the latter. This is what he says is really going on in the war that hardly ever makes it over here...

i opened up Yahoo and they always have the featured stories uptop, well it was a ;60 minutes' video footage of...

"Active-duty soldiers, sailors, and Marines speak out against the conflict in Iraq." ~Yahoo!

that was taken directly from the heading, i watched the movie and its legit. i did not alter the quote one bitm simply copied and pasted.
