Mass Transit Funding in Illinois

If you live in Chicago, Illinois, you've probably heard on the news about the Mass Transit Funding Crisis. But just in case you don't, the Illinois congress was unable to provide income to the RTA (Regional Transportation Authority), which would of led to service cuts and rate hikes for public transportation in the Chicago area. But luckily, Governor Blagojevich stepped in to provide the RTA an income plan that would relieve it of their debt crisis till November 4th.
I thought that it was a good thing that the Illinois governor stepped in and gave some income to the RTA because if he didn't, then there would be service cuts and rate hikes; therefore, I would get angry at the Illinois government because I think that another reason why they couldn't come up with an income plan is because they were being selfish because they weren't thinking about how other people would feel about the service cuts and rate hikes because they only thought about themselves. But, I hope that the Illinois congress will come up with income for the RTA by November 4th because if they don't and the service cuts and rate hikes happen this time, then I'll get angry at the Illinois government again because if they're unable to come up with an income plan to relieve the RTA of its debt, then another reason why because they're selfish because they're not thinking about how other people feel about the service cuts and rate hikes because they're thinking about themselves; also when the next election comes where I have to re-elect the Illinois government, I won't vote for them to be re-elected because I'll vote for other people to be elected to the Illinois government.
By the way, another reason why I brought up this issue, I'm from Chicago, Illinois and use public transportation to go meet up with my friends and hang out with them; so, this affects me.
