My state is currently expierencing a serious drought (we seem to have one every few years), and the area I live in has been upgraded to the most severe stage of a drought. We are now under mandatory water restrictions, none of which really affect me and my water use. However, I am not taking steps to cut my water useage. I have not cut my showers down to 5 minutes, I have not been rinsing dishes in a pool of water in the sink, and there are many areas where I could cut my water consumption but simply don't. My reluctance/inability to conserve water for the benefit of all of the states residents has led me to realize that I do the same when it comes to recycling/reusing items. It's not because I don't care, but I am just a lazy person. I do care, but apparently not enough to the point where I will change my lifestyle. I know there are plenty of other Americans who are equally environmentally lazy. How will we ever be able to protect and heal the environment if we can't do simple things like personal recycling? Should the government take a more active role in encouraging people to recycle and such?

People in America are just too damn lazy and some idiots like certain members of my mostly idiotic family don't recycle because of those damn gas prices and how it hurts them financially to drive all the way to a store to just recycle.
Phoenixes are superb. They are also fictional beings..but that isn't the point!
If you want to find a way to contribute to the environment, why don't you watch the "Going Green" reports on your local NBC station.
